The Arrival of the Babe

The travel had been smooth, with Lush only kicking once at the door. They arrived in the evening at MSL, where the crew were patiently waiting for their arrival. Darcy grinned when she saw the trailer. By the time everyone was at the yard, Andrea opened up the trailer and placed the ramp. Darcy observed Charline, whose curious nature made her stretch her posture, eyes closely watching Andrea's moves.

"Charline, you are the newest member in our family at MSL, you are in the crew because you're awesome obviously, but also because you know how to handle horses in extreme situations, especially the cold ones." Darcy began. Andrea let out the new horse, a stunning Obertaurer filly. "We've been training hard for about two years now, and honestly you've handled it very well." She added. "But now we have a new goal; The White December. We have Siegsteinn and Okoro, two horses you've already been working with. But we still missed one horse." She went on. Pete, who was also standing there, an arm loosely around Stephanie's shoulders, raised an eyebrow at Darcy's speech. He honestly never heard talk so much. Andrea stood still with the young mare and patted her on the neck.

"This is our new and first Obertaurer mare, Luscious Babe. I would like for you to ready her for TWD as well." She finished. Charline's eyes grew in disbelief. The news overwhelmed her for a second, but when Andrea stood in front of her with Lush, she nodded in agreement. Pete shot a look at Steph and they both smiled at each other. Dimitri ran over, late to the whole reception, but he already knew the news beforehand. "Now that's out of the way, let's give her some space to recover from her trip. I'll be training her alongside you, Charline, but it'll be fun I'm sure!" Darcy laughed, putting her hand on the tall girl's shoulder. Charline nodded again, speechless, but a big smile made clear how she felt about this, gently putting out her hand for Lush to smell.
